How to Switch SQL Server 2008 Reporting Server Modes (SharePoint Integrated to Native)

To switch to native mode

Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, and then point to Configuration Tools.
Click Reporting Services Configuration. The Report Server Installation Instance Selection dialog box appears so that you can select the report server instance you want to configure.
In Machine Name, specify the name of the computer on which the report server instance is installed. The name of the local computer is specified by default, but you can also type the name of a remote SQL Server instance.
In Instance Name, choose the SQL Server Reporting Services instance that you want to configure.
Click Connect.
Click Database Setup to open the Database Setup page. The page contains information about the database currently in use. The Server Mode should be set to SharePoint integrated.
Click Change.
Click OK to confirm that you want to create a new database.
In the SQL Server Connection dialog box, enter a name for the new database.
Verify that the Create the report server database in SharePoint integrated mode check box is not selected.
Click OK.
On the Database Setup page, specify the credentials that are used to connect to the report server database.
1. Choose Service credentials to use the Windows service account and Web service account to connect through integrated security.
2. Choose Windows credentials to specify a domain user account. A domain user account must be specified as \.
3. Choose SQL Server credentials to specify a SQL Server login.
Click Apply.

When you switch from a SharePoint integrated report server to native mode, the location of the content and the permissions used to control access to the content is redefined. Content must be republished to the report server, you must assign roles on the report server that grants access to items and operations, and you must redefine subscriptions and scheduled operations. Report history that you created on the report server that ran in SharePoint integrated mode cannot be recreated on a native mode report server.

Enables customers to accept electronic payments via credit or debit cards, directly through the ERP, by phone or through an online solution. This service integrates to Receivables Management and Sales Order Processing, and is available with Dynamics GP 10.0 Service Pack 5 and Dynamics GP 2010 Service Pack 1 effective November 1st, 2010. Customers of any licensing edition of Microsoft Dynamics GP (BE, AM, Pro, and Standard) who are current on a Business Ready Enhancement Plan (BREP) will have free access to this functionality.
Commerce Services
Build and publish new sales catalogs on demand and extend your sales reach across multiple online channels. Leverage online communities to drive your sales pipeline even further, all with seamless integration into Microsoft Dynamics GP. This service provides an online eCommerce platform integrated to Sales Order Processing, and will be available to Advanced Management customers with Dynamics GP 10.0 Service Pack 5 and Dynamics GP 2010 Service Pack 1. Effective November 1st, 2010, this new “Commerce Services” module will be available on the Microsoft Dynamics GP Price List. Client Access Licenses
Dynamics CRM 4.0 Professional and Enterprise require a client access
license (CAL) for each user or device accessing the server. There are
three different types of CALs available on either a per-user or
per-device model.

Limited CAL: The limited CAL allows a user or device read-only access
to the CRM server. In other words, users with a limited CAL may access
CRM information but may not make any edits or updates to it. $666

Full Use Additive CAL: When used in conjunction with a limited CAL, a
full use additive CAL allows a user or device write access to the CRM
server, thus allowing the user or device full read-write access to the
server. The full use additive CAL may be used only in conjunction with
a limited CAL. $333

CAL: The CAL provides a user or device full read-write access to the
CRM server. The CAL is functionally equivalent to a combined limited
and full use additive CAL. $999

As with many other Microsoft server technologies, the CALs listed
above are each available on a per-user or per-device basis. A user CAL
authorizes one user to access the CRM server from any computer or
other device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a
computer at work and another at home). A device CAL authorizes one
computer or other device to access the CRM server, regardless of the
number of users (for example, on a shared workstation).

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

Versions

Microsoft Dynamics CRM comes in 4 versions for installation by a partner/customer; these versions can be highly customized using advanced extensions. The CRM Online version cannot be extensively customized because of security issues.

- Workgroup Edition

This edition is only allowed 5 CALs maximum, it is not possible to add more CAL's. If more CAL's are needed, an upgrade to Professional or Enterprise should be done. Also all the server roles are installed on 1 machine and cannot be separated. You can only create 1 organization in this version and the use of external connectors is not allowed. This version is ideal for small organizations that can use it with the SQL Server Workgroup Edition and on a Windows Small Business Server.

- Professional Edition

Has the same functionality as the Workgroup Edition except there is no limit on the CAL's. To allow more than 1 organization to be installed or to install CRM roles on different servers you should upgrade to the Enterprise version.

- Enterprise Edition

Has the same functionality as the Professional Edition but without limits. This version is to be used when multiple divisions should be accessing CRM from one platform.

- Service Provider Edition

This edition is actually an Enterprise Edition that is configured to accept Internal user requests from AD and external user requests through IFD (Internet Facing Deployment). This version is mostly implemented by Microsoft Partners that offer Hosted CRM functionality, when letting external users connect to this CRM version through the Internet.

The Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA) is a license program designed for Software Services Providers to enable their organization to license Microsoft Software products, and to use these products to provide software services to their customers.

Software services are services they provide to their customers that make available licensed products and that display, run, access, or otherwise interact with these licensed products. One or more data centers may provide these services through the Internet, a telephony network, or a private network on a rental or on a subscription or services basis. In addition, the services may be provided whether or not the services provider receives a fee. Software services exclude any services that involve installing a Microsoft licensed product directly on any device to permit a customer to interact with the Microsoft licensed product.

Some examples of Software services providers include Web Hosters, application services providers, messaging and/or collaboration services providers, platform infrastructure providers, business process outsourcers, streaming media Service Providers and ISVs with hosted applications running on Microsoft technologies.

The SPLA license provides 3^rd party commercial use rights to Service Providers, who will be the holder of these Microsoft licenses and provide the software service. The end customers receiving the software service, are not required to obtain their own Microsoft licenses. End customers receive the right to interact with functionalities of Microsoft software through the Service Provider’s SPLA licenses. Service Providers cannot use FPP, Open, Select or EA licenses purchased in their name to provide software services.

Service Providers obtain the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Service Provider edition to obtain the software necessary to provide software services to their Customers. This edition offers the functionality and multi-tenancy capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Enterprise Server.

Simple Licensing Model
The SPLA licensing program provides user access to software services via a Subscriber Access License (SAL). When using the SAL, there is no need for a separate server license.

Subscriber Access License (SAL)
In the SAL model, a SAL is required for each unique named individual who is authorized to use the Microsoft Dynamics CRM software in any given month. Benefits of the Per Subscriber model include:

· Subscribers can use any device to access instances of the server software

· Service providers can "scale out" by deploying as many servers as they need

· Service providers have minimal start-up costs since they only pay based upon the number of subscribers they have each month.

· Microsoft Dynamics CRM SAL

NEW! The Microsoft Dynamics CRM SAL now enables service providers to offer external user access to their hosted solutions. This new capability offers functionality that can be compared to the External Connector capability offered in On-Premise Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

No, there are no upfront program fees associated with signing the SPLA. However, Microsoft Partner Program Membership is a requirement of the program. What is the difference between a service provider who provides application services and a service provider that acts as an outsourcer?

The key difference is that, under an outsourcing scenario, the Select License, EA or Open License customer is the licensee of the software. In the outsourcing scenario, the service provider is NOT a licensee and does not have the right to use the software for any purpose except to host the software for the Select License, EA or Open License customer with whom it has an agreement. By contrast, where a service provider is acting under the SPLA, the service provider is the licensee of the software, and may provide access to and use of the software to one or more customers for a monthly fee

Enables customers to extend Microsoft Dynamics CRM to their external users such as customers, partners, suppliers, and end users who access a copy of the server software (for which a license was acquired), through any application/graphical user interface (GUI), other than the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client. “External Users” are users who are not either (i) your or your affiliates’ employees, or (ii) your or your affiliates’ onsite contractors or agents, External users also does not include hosted-software service users, such as those already licensing via the Microsoft Service Provider License (SPLA).

An External Connector must be purchased for each server that hosts an application that provides external access to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 data as described above. External users should not be using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 applications & GUIs directly. The alternative is for every external user to acquire a CAL

For the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Professional Server and Enterprise Server, there are 3 External Connector functionalities:

·External Connector – The full use External Connector provides external users with full read-write access to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 data, such as that provided through any application/graphical user interface. The Full Use External Connector will appear on price lists as the Dyn CRM Extrnl Con, and consists of both the Limited External Connector and the Full Use Additive External Connector combined to provide full use capability.

·Limited External Connector – The Limited External Connector provides external users with read-only access to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 data, such as described above. The Limited External Connector will appear on the price lists as the Dyn CRM Ltd Extrnl Con.

·Full Use Additive External Connector – The Full Use Additive External Connector provides external users with write-access to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 data such as described above, and may only be purchased to supplement a Limited External Connector with write-access capability. The Full Use Additive External connector will appear on price lists as the Dyn CRM Additve ExtrnlCon.

External Connectors and Limited External Connectors may be mixed within an environment.

The number of Full Use Additive External Connectors may never exceed the total number of Limited External Connectors used within an organization.

An External Connector is a license only, and does not include any physical software components, and does not include licensing for any other Microsoft products.
